Essex, California (April 22, 2201) – The driver who died Tuesday evening in a traffic accident in Essex has been identified as Albert Henry Sweeney, 71, of Kingman, Arizona, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
Emergency personnel responded to Interstate 40 near mile marker 87 at around 6:08 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, for a report of a multi-vehicle crash.
According to the authorities, several vehicles, including a Ford van, were involved in the accident.
Sweeney, who was the driver of the van, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:24 p.m.
