Ontario, California (March 22, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died Saturday night following a traffic accident in Ontario as Albert Cruz,  35, of Ontario.

The deadly crash occurred at around 10:23 p.m. Saturday, March 20, on E. D Street, just west of Corona Avenue.

Authorities said an SUV was heading westbound on E. D Street and slowed down to make a right turn into a residential driveway when a motorcycle tried to pass the SUV on the right side.

For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist was hit by the SUV.

The motorcyclist, now identified as Cruz, was taken to  San Antonio Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at around 11:34 p.m.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
