Adriana Barajas ID’d as Woman Killed in Hacienda Heights Crash at Turnbull Canyon Road and Vallecito Drive
Hacienda Heights, California (April 12, 2021) – Authorities have identified the woman who died early Monday morning in a single-vehicle traffic accident in Hacienda Heights as Adriana Barajas, 24, of Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident happened at about 12:40 a.m. in the area of Turnbull Canyon Road and Vallecito Drive.
Barajas was driving southbound on Turnbull Canyon Road more than the posted speed limit of 35 miles per hour when her 2007 Hyundai Elantra veered off the roadway and crashed into a wall, the CHP said.
Barajas was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
It was not immediately clear whether intoxication played a role in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
