41-Year-Old Adam Ventura ID’d as Man Killed in Delano Car Crash on Highway 43 and Schuster Road
Delano, California (July 23, 2019) – The man who was in a fatal crash that occurred last Wednesday night near Delano has been identified as Adam Munoz Ventura, 41, of Delano, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
The incident took place at about 9:29 p.m. July 17, on Highway 43 and Schuster Road.
CHP said Ventura was driving north on Highway 43 when he drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an oncoming tractor-trailer hauling tomatoes.
The car caught fire following the wreck.

Ventura was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the big rig, Jose Jesus Pena, 66, of Armona, was taken to Kern Medical Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash caused a closure of Highway 43 at Schuster Road in both directions as officials worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.
