Abraham Garcia Injured in Corning Car Crash on Highway 99 near Sunbright Avenue

Corning, California (April 15, 2021) – A passenger was injured in a DUI car crash in Corning early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12:25 a.m. April 11, on Highway 99 near Sunbright Avenue.
The police said Pedro Castro Ramirez, of Red Bluff, was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle northbound on the highway when he swerved for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a parked big rig.
32-year-old Abraham Carrillo Garcia, of Corning, who was riding in the vehicle was injured in the accident and was transported to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for treatment.
Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing bodily injury and booked into the Tehama County Jail.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
