Scooter Rider Hurt in Pacific Beach Car Accident at Mission and Hornblend Street

San Diego, California (May 13, 2019) – A scooter rider was transported to the hospital after being involved in a traffic collision Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. May 9, in the area of Mission Boulevard and Hornblend Street.
A local news source reported that a vehicle hit a man in his 60s who was riding his electric scooter in at the intersection near the Pacific Beach neighborhood. The reason why the collision occurred is still under investigation.
The rider suffered a head injury following the wreck. The victim who was found laying down bleeding by the paramedics was hospitalized in the area hospital for further treatment. The current condition and identity of the victim have not yet disclosed.
It was not clear whether or not the driver of the involved vehicle stopped after the collision and cooperated with the police.
The investigation is still ongoing.
