Jessica Bachman and 2 Teens Among Victims Hurt in Red Bluff Car Crash on 99W near Westover Road
Red Bluff, Californi9a (April 16, 2019) – A woman and two teens who were heading home after prom were injured when the vehicle they were riding in was struck by an alleged drunk driver late Saturday night in Red Bluff, according to the CHP.
The head-on collision happened on 99W near Westover Road at about 11:45 p.m. April 13.
CHP said a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on the highway when, for unknown reasons, the driver drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2011 Dodge Ram pickup .
Jessica Bachman, 2 Teens Injured in Red Bluff Head-On Collision
The woman driving the Dodge, identified as Jessica Bachman, 40, of Red Bluff, and her two teenage passengers were hurt. Bachman and a 15-year-old boy suffered minor injuries while a 14-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as Pablo Rivera Orellana, 51, of Red Bluff, suffered major injuries including head trauma and internal injuries. Police later arrested Orellana on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury and driving without a license.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
