Red Bluff, Californi9a (April 16, 2019) – A man who sustained major injuries in a two-vehicle head-on collision that also injured a woman and two teens late Saturday night in Red Bluff was later arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to the CHP.

The wreck happened on 99W near Westover Road at about 11:45 p.m. April 13.

CHP said Pablo Rivera Orellana, 51, of Red Bluff, was driving a Toyota Corolla south on the highway when he drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2011 Dodge Ram pickup.

Orellana suffered major injuries including head trauma and internal injuries. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The woman driving the Dodge and her two teenage passengers were also hurt. The woman and one boy suffered minor injuries while a girl sustained moderate injuries.

Police later arrested Orellana on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury and driving without a license.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
