Michael Houghton Hurt in Fatal Fountain Valley Car Crash on 405 Freeway near Euclid Street

Fountain Valley, California (April 3, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after a fatal crash that left a 13-year-old boy dead on Saturday night in Fountain Valley, according to a local news source.
The wreck took place at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, March 30, on the 405 Freeway near Euclid Street.
According to the CHP, a 2015 Honda Odyssey minivan occupied by a family of five was stopped in the northbound HOV lane on 405 Freeway when the driver of a black 2014 Toyota Tacoma failed to see the vehicle and rear-ended it. The Toyota was then hit in the rear by a 2019 Toyota Tacoma.

Michael was among the five occupants of the van. He was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center with head injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
