Salvador Almanza Arrested after Hanford Car Crash on Highway 198

Hanford, California (March 22, 2019) – A driver was taken into custody on suspicion of drunk driving after a wrong-way crash early Friday morning in Hanford, according to the CHP.
The wreck was reported shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Highway 198, just east of Houston Avenue.
The CHP said 38-year-old Salvador Almanza was driving his Honda Civic westbound on Highway 198 when he traveled into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming Honda Civic.
Three Hurt in Hanford DUI Accident
Almanza and the two occupants of the other vehicle were all transported to Kaweah Delta Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The authorities found Almanza to be impaired and arrested him for driving under influence of drugs or alcohol.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
