Fontana, CA: Major Injury Two-Vehicle Accident at Sierra Lakes Parkway and Sierra Avenue
5 Injured in Fontana Car Accident at Sierra Lakes Parkway and Sierra Avenue
Fontana, California (March 22, 2019) – Multiple injuries were reported in a collision involving two vehicles in northern Fontana early Thursday morning, according to the Fontana Police Department.
The wreck happened at Sierra Lakes Parkway and Sierra Avenue on Thursday, March 19.
Police said a white Honda Civic was heading west on Sierra Lakes Parkway approaching Sierra Avenue. The driver of the Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for a red light at the intersection. The Civic was broadsided by a black 2019 Honda Civic that was going northbound on Sierra Avenue.
Five Hurt in Fontana Car Crash
The impact caused the white Civic to slide across the intersection and it crashed into a light pole. Emergency crews responded to the crash and extricated the occupants of the white Civic.
Five people were transported to a hospital with moderate-to-major injuries.
The Fontana Police Department is investigating the incident.
