Motorcyclist Sustains Major Injuries in Crescent City Crash at Highway 199 and Highway 197
Crescent City, California (March 3, 2019) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident in Crescent City Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash took place shortly after 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 199 and Highway 197. Highway 197 is also known as North Bank Road.
According to the CHP, a motorcycle collided with a vehicle for an undetermined reason at the intersection. The bike ended up underneath the vehicle after the impact.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical care to the motorcyclist who suffered major injuries in the crash. The patient was then taken to a hospital.
The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the wreck is underway.
