Officer and Civilian Injured in Jurupa Valley Car Crash at Limonite Avenue and Peralta Place
Jurupa Valley, California (March 3, 2019) – An officer and a civilian were hospitalized Monday evening after a traffic accident involving a patrol vehicle at an intersection in Jurupa Valley, according to a local news source.
The wreck took place at about 4:13 p.m. Monday, February 25 at the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Peralta Place.
As per the report, the deputy was responding to an assistance call when for an unknown reason their patrol car collided with a civilian vehicle. The lights and sirens of the officer were activated when the accident happened.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the deputy and the driver of the civilian car. Both were then taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The names of the victims and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
