12 Injured in Mojave Crash on Highway 14 at Backus Road
Mojave, California (February 19, 2019) – A two-vehicle collision left several people injured in Mojave on Monday afternoon in Mojave, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened shortly after 12 p.m. February 18 on Highway 14 at the Backus Road off ramp.
CHP said an older model White Chevy Suburban and a Dodge Durango collided on the highway for unknown reasons. The impact caused one of the vehicles to roll over and caught fire.
The Durango had five occupants of a family including young children. The Durango occupants and the seven people riding in the Chevy were all treated for minor injuries.
The identities of the parties involved and the events leading to the incident were not immediately released.
CHP is investigating the incident.
