Kevin Schosek, Karen Brown Injured in Middletown Car Accident on Highway 29 near Grange Road

Middletown, California (January 8, 2019) – Two people sustained major injuries in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Middletown on Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at about 6:32 p.m. January 7, on Highway 29 near Grange Road.
According to the CHP, Kevin Schosek, 62, of Anderson Springs, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet 1500 pickup southbound on Highway 29 when he experienced a problem with the headlamps and drifted across the double yellow lines.
The Chevrolet collided head-on with a northbound 2004 Honda Odyssey van driven by Karen Brown, 52, of Hidden Valley Lake.
Both drivers suffered major injuries and were transported by ambulance to Adventist Health Hospital in Clearlake.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
