CHP Officer Injured in San Diego Car Crash on State Route 94
San Diego, California (January 6, 2018) – A CHP officer working at the scene of a crash was struck and injured by a vehicle in San Diego on Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at about 6:45 a.m. on the westbound SR 94 transition to southbound I-15.
The CHP officer were investigating an abandoned truck that had been involved in a solo crash on the shoulder of the freeway when a black Ford Focus lost control on the wet roadway and crashed into the patrol vehicle.
The officer was treated for minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
