One Killed, One Hospitalized after Auburn Collision on Bell Road near Bell Road

Auburn, California (July 31, 2021) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured Friday in a traffic accident in Auburn, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash, which involved three vehicles, took place on Bell Road, just east of New Airport Road.
The CHP said a white Nissan Rogue was traveling on Bell Road in an unknown direction when it sideswiped a tan station wagon.
The Nissan then collided head-on with a black Honda Civic.

The Civic driver, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The condition of the driver of the tan station wagon was not immediately available.
Bell Road was closed in both directions following the crash. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.

The accident remains under investigation.
