2 Hospitalized after Simi Valley 5-Car Crash on Madera Road near Sunset Garden Lane
Simi Valley, California (July 23, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized Thursday morning following a traffic collision involving five vehicles in Simi Valley, authorities said.
The multi-vehicle crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22 on Madera Road, just east of Wood Ranch Parkway.
According to the authorities, five vehicles collided for unknown reasons in the eastbound lanes of Madera Road near Sunset Garden Lane.
5-Car Crash on Madera Road in Simi Valley Sends 2 to Hospital
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
No serious injuries were reported. Authorities said two patients were taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.
Police closed eastbound lanes of Madera Road at Wood Ranch Parkway as the investigation took place. As of 12:30 p.m., the roadway was reopened.
No other details were given.
The crash remains under investigation.
