San Diego Man Killed in Orcutt Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Clark Avenue

Orcutt, California (July 20, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Orcutt early Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The fatal accident happened at about 1:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, on the northbound side of Highway 101, just south of Clark Avenue.
According to the CHP, the pedestrian, only identified as a San Diego man, was walking in the left-hand lane of northbound Highway 101 when, for an unknown reason, a 2020 Ford F-15 hit him.
Fatal Orcutt Pedestrian Accident
The San Diego man sustained critical injuries and was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The truck driver, a Costa Mesa man in his 60s, who was uninjured, stopped at the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The accident is under investigation.
