San Diego, California (July 15, 2021) – Two pedestrians were injured, one seriously, after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in the Mountain View neighborhood in San Diego, according to authorities.

The major-injury collision occurred at around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, near South 43rd Street, where National Avenue becomes Logan Avenue.

Police said a vehicle hit two people for unknown reasons in the area.

2 Pedestrians Injured in Mountain View Crash

One of the pedestrians, only identified as a woman, was transported to a local hospital with major injuries that included a fractured skull and brain bleed.

The severity of the injuries sustained by the other person was not immediately disclosed. It remains unknown if the patient was hospitalized.

The driver involved stopped and cooperated with the police.
