Brandi Silva Killed in Los Banos Pedestrian Accident on Volta Road

Los Banos, California (July 15, 2021) – The woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Los Banos has been identified as Brandi Silva, 40, of Stanislaus County, according to the Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Bureau.
The deadly crash was reported at around 2:22 p.m. Friday, July 9, on Volta Road, just north of Highway 152, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Silva reportedly ran into the roadway and was hit by a 2019 International truck that was traveling on Volta Road at approximately 55 miles per hour, the CHP said.
Pedestrian Killed in Los Banos Accident Identified as Stanislaus County Woman
Silva was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the International truck, Fidel Alvarez, 28, was uninjured and stopped at the scene. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation.
