At Least 1 Injured in Castaic Crash on 5 Freeway near Parker Road
Castaic, California (June 28, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday night traffic accident that left at least one person injured in Castaic, Santa Clarita.
The two-vehicle accident occurred at about 8:50 p.m., on June 25, on the northbound 5 Freeway, south of Parker Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2013 Chevy Malibu, driven by Yosue Gutierrez, 24, from Palmdale, collided with one other vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
One person in the other car was injured in the accident.
Gutierrez was arrested and charged with felony DUI and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $176,000.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
