Placer County, California (June 28, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision in Placer County Sunday night.
The major injury crash happened on Interstate 80 near Kingvale at approximately 8:28 p.m.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, a green Mercedes-Benz SLK crashed with a Subaru Legacy on the westbound side of the highway near Donner Pass Road under unclear circumstances.
Due to the impact, the Subaru overturned multiple times.

One person sustained major injuries while a second one survived with unspecified injuries. One of the victims was airlifted to a local hospital for medication.
The crash resulted in the closure of the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Kingvale for an unknown time.
