Lucerne Valley, California (June 13, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the person who died Saturday afternoon following a traffic collision in Lucerne Valley as Jene Arthur Douglas, 49, of Lucerne Valley.
Authorities said the crash occurred at around 4:13 p.m. Saturday, June 12, on State Highway 247, just west of Visalia Avenue.
A Jeep collided with a pickup truck, possibly head-on, for unknown reasons.
Person Killed in Highway 247 Accident Identified
One of the parties involved, now identified as Douglas, was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
It remained unclear if there were parties who were injured.
Traffic lanes remained closed for an unknown period following the accident.
CHP is investigating the incident.
