Man Killed, Two Seriously Injured in Madera County Crash at Avenue 7 and Road 21

Madera County, California (June 10, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision has claimed the life of one person early Thursday morning in Madera County and left two other people with major injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
The tragic wreck happened a little after 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 7 and Road 21.
According to the CHP, a 54-year-old man was driving a Dodge Caravan southbound on Road 21 when he failed to stop for the posted stop sign and traveled directly into the path of Volvo.
The Volvo ultimately crashed into the side of the Caravan. The impact caused the Caravan to overturn.
Deadly Crash at Avenue 7 and Road 21 in Madera County
The driver of the Caravan was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
A female passenger in the Caravan was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with major injuries. The male driver of the Volvo was also taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
