7-Month-Old Boy Hospitalized after Long Beach Hit-and-Run Accident at 67th Street and Long Beach Boulevard
Long Beach, California (June 10, 2021) – An infant was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday at an intersection in Long Beach, according to authorities.
At about 11:30 a.m. emergency personnel responded to the report of a boy having been struck by a vehicle in the area of 67th Street and Long Beach Boulevard.
Authorities said a mother was pushing her 7-month old baby in a stroller inside a crosswalk when an early-1990s model white Ford Explorer struck the stroller.
Baby Injured in Long Beach Hit-and-Run Crash
The boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Her mother was unhurt.
The driver of the Ford did not stop and fled the scene.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
The crash prompted the officers to temporarily closed Long Beach Boulevard from Artesia Boulevard to 68th Street.
