At Least 1 Injured in Wasco Collision on Highway 46 at Root Avenue

Wasco, California (June 9, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a traffic collision that happened Tuesday morning in Wasco, leaving at least one person nursing major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 6:38 a.m. on Highway 46 at Root Avenue.
As per the report, a service truck collided with a black Nissan Versa for unknown reasons.
The service truck ended up overturned onto its roof in a nearby orchard.
The report said the crash resulted in major injuries. At least one female party sustained massive head injuries.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to offer medical aid and take the victim to the hospital.
Caltrans was requested to close the highway at Root Avenue and help clean debris that was scattered in the roadway.
