Selma, CA: Major Injuries Sustained in Two-Car Crash on Mendocino Avenue

Selma, California (April 5, 2021) – One person sustained severe injuries in a traffic crash that happened Sunday night in Selma.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, the collision involved two cars and happened at around 9:41 p.m. on S Mendocino Avenue, just south of Mountain View Avenue.

The unidentified vehicles collided for unknown reasons, forcing the closure of all Mendocino traffic lanes.

The report said a small poodle that occupied one of the cars took off after the crash and was being searched.

One person was arrested for an unspecified violation and released to the hospital for treatment of major injuries. The patient was hospitalized at Community Regional Medical Center.

CHP is collecting more information to establish the cause of the accident.
