Dublin, California (March 24, 2021) – Authorities have identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Dublin as Catherine Kuo, 48, of Dublin. She worked as a trustee for the Dublin Unified school board.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 11:45 a.m.in front of Fallon Middle School at 3601 Kohnen Way.

Authorities said Kuo was standing behind a vehicle when she was struck and pinned between the two vehicles.

Kuo, a mother of two, was volunteering at a food distribution event at the time of the accident.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to Kuo. She was then transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
