Anthony Gonzales ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Turlock Crash on Monte Vista Avenue at Dels Lane
Turlock, California (March 17, 2021) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday morning in Turlock as Anthony Gonzales, 27, of Merced.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:53 a.m. Monday, March 15, at the intersection of Monte Vista Avenue and Dels Lane, near Stanislaus State University.
Police said Gonzales was walking southbound across the intersection and inside a marked crosswalk when a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe hit him.

The paramedics responded to the incident and performed CPR on Gonzales. He was then transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Chevrolet driver, a 41-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and was cooperative, police said.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The investigators are yet to establish the cause of the accident.
