Man Killed in Head-On Collision on Del Rosa Avenue near Flores Drive in San Bernardino
San Bernardino, California (February 23, 2021) – A man was killed in a head-on collision that occurred in San Bernardino on Sunday evening.
The fatal crash happened on Del Rosa Avenue near Flores Drive at about 7:48 p.m. February 21, according to the California Highway Patrol.
23-year-old Erick Favela, of San Bernardino, was driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler northbound on Del Rosa Avenue when he collided head-on with a 2000 Toyota Camry that was traveling southbound.
The driver of the Toyota, a 25-year-old San Bernardino man, was seriously injured and was rushed to an area hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Favela’s condition was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
