Postal Worker Hospitalized after Bell Gardens Pedestrian Crash on Specht Avenue
Bell Gardens, California (February 14, 2021) – A postal worker was hit and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday afternoon in Bell Gardens, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 3:10 p.m., on February 13, in front of 6547 Specht Avenue.
According to the officials, a gold Hyundai SUV, driven by a woman, struck and pinned the male U.S. postal worker against his mail truck.
The SUV was reportedly parking out of a driveway at the time.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the postal worker lying on the pavement behind his mail truck. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of pain in his legs, the officials said.
The involved driver fled the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
