Santa Barbara, CA: Major Injury Head-On Crash on Highway 154
2 Injured, 1 Seriously in Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 154 near West Camino Cielo
Santa Barbara, California (February 10, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday afternoon traffic accident that injured two people, one seriously in Santa Barbara near the top of San Marcos Pass.
The major injury head-on crash occurred at about 5:20 p.m., on February 9, on Highway 154 near West Camino Cielo.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Subaru WRX collided head-on with a Hyundai Accent on the highway for undetermined reasons.
Following the collision one of the vehicles caught fire and was contained by the first responders, the officials said.
2 Injured in Highway 154 Crash
Two people were injured in the accident, one seriously. They were both taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Both vehicles sustained significant damages in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
