25-Year-Old UPS Driver Dies Following Tulare County Truck Accident at Highway 99 and Avenue 120

Tulare County, California (February 5, 2021) – A UPS driver was killed Friday afternoon in a traffic accident at an intersection in Tulare County, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 99 and Avenue 120, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a tractor-trailer commercial truck and a UPS truck were heading eastbound when the tractor-trailer tried to pass the UPS truck. For undetermined reasons, the tractor-trailer struck the UPS truck.
The UPS driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected onto the roadway and hit by the tractor-trailer.
Deadly Accident at Highway 99 and Avenue 120 in Tulare County
The UPS driver, only identified as a 25-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of his relatives.
The driver of the tractor-trailer stopped at the scene after the crash. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
