Merced, California (January 20, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run bicycle accident that happened in Merced Monday evening seriously injured one person, a local news source reported.

The major injury crash took place near the intersection of 16th and G streets at approximately 7:30 p.m. on January 18.

A man riding his bicycle, near the Merced intersection, was hit by a possibly a blue or green Toyota minivan whose driver fled the scene southbound on G Street.

The man was ejected from the bike into the 1600 block of G Street upon the impact.

Merced Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash Results in Major Injuries

Paramedics flew the unidentified bicyclist to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries.
