Jacumba, CA: Fatal Fiery Crash on Interstate 8
1 Person Killed in Jacumba Crash on Interstate 8 near Inkopah Park Road
Jacumba, California (January 15, 2021) – One person was killed in a Friday afternoon traffic accident in Jacumba, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-vehicle accident occurred shortly after noon on Interstate 8, near Inkopah Park Road.
A westbound sedan veered out of control, crashed, and came to rest in a center-divider area, where it caught fire.

First responders arrived at the scene and took the victim to a nearby Border Patrol station where an air ambulance waited. Sadly the patient died before being airlifted to a hospital.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
