Esmeralda Reyes ID’d as 9-Month Pregnant Woman Killed in Palm Springs Crash on N Gene Autry Trail and Salvia Road
Palm Springs, California (January 12, 2021) – The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified the pregnant woman who died along with her unborn baby last week Thursday in Palm Springs as Esmeralda Reyes, 24, of Desert Hot Springs.
The deadly accident happened about 5:10 p.m. Thursday, January 7, at the intersection of N Gene Autry Trail and Salvia Road.
Police said Reyes was driving her vehicle on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, she was involved in a traffic accident at the Palm Springs intersection.

Reyes, who was 9-months pregnant, was declared dead at the scene. Her two children, ages 2 and 3, sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.
Details on what led to the accident at this time are unknown.
