Scott Ekoniak Arrested in Davis Hit-And-Run Accident that Killed Pedestrian on Olive Drive
Davis, California (January 5, 2021) – Scott Bryan Ekoniak, 46, of Davis, was arrested after a hit-run accident that killed a pedestrian Sunday night in Davis.
The deadly crash took place at about 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, on Olive Drive near Richards Boulevard.
Authorities said the pedestrian, identified as Ernest Seyfert, 66, was walking on the highway when he was hit by a big rig driven by Scott Bryan Ekoniak.
Seyfert died in the accident.
On Monday, Ekoniak and his vehicle were found in Sacramento, where he was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run before being booked at the Yolo County Jail.
The accident remains under active investigation.
