Major Injuries Sustained in San Diego Car Crash on 8 Freeway near 805 Freeway
San Diego, California (January 5, 2021) – Authorities are investigating after a vehicle crashed into the center divider Tuesday afternoon on 8 Freeway in San Diego, resulting in major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened at about 12:18 p.m. in the westbound lanes near 805 Freeway.
As per the report, a red truck collided into the center divider for unknown reasons.
Occupants of the truck were trapped inside, and the vehicle was smoking, the report said.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person suffered severe injuries in the crash. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to offer medical aid.
CHP is investigating to establish the factors that may have contributed to the crash.
