Oildale, California (January 5, 2021) – The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has identified 33-year-old Raymond Alex Rivera as the Bakersfield rider who died following an alleged hit-and-run crash at an intersection in Oildale Sunday morning, December 27.

The deadly motorcycle crash happened in the area of Roberts Lane and Manor Street at 3:25 a.m. December 27.

A motorcycle operated by Rivera, west on Roberts Lane, swerved off the highway and crashed after striking a guardrail at Manor Street.

Roberts was ejected from the bike upon the impact.

While laying in the Roberts westbound lanes, Rivera was hit by a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala, whose driver fled the crash site.

33-Year-Old Raymond Rivera Killed in Oildale Accident

Sadly, Rivera was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An investigation into the fatal hit-and-run acident is underway.
