At Least 1 Injured in Auburn Car Crash on Grass Valley Highway and Lone Star Road
Auburn, California (January 6, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision that happened Tuesday morning at an intersection in Auburn, resulting in major injuries.
Two vehicles collided head-on at about 11:18 a.m. on southbound Grass Valley Highway, also known as Highway 49, at Lone Star Road.
Parties at the scene were helping the drivers get out of their vehicles before emergency crews responded.
As per the report, at least one person sustained severe injuries in the crash. An ambulance was requested to transport the victim to the hospital.
The vehicles were blocking traffic lanes, and tow trucks were needed to clear the scene.
All lanes were open by noon.
