47-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Aptos Crash on Highway 1 near Shaffer Road
Aptos, California (December 22, 2020) – A 47-year-old man from Santa Cruz was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Monday night in Aptos, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 11:30 p.m., on December 21, on Highway 1 near Shaffer Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking along the highway when a black 2002 GMC Yukon struck him.

Sadly the man sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver drove off then abandoned the vehicle near the scene and fled on foot, the officials said.
