Fortuna, CA: 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 at Highway 36
At Least 1 Injured in Fortuna Accident on Highway 101 (Redwood Highway) at Highway 36 Off-Ramp
Fortuna, California (December 8, 2020) – At least one person was injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in Fortuna, according to a local news source.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 7, on Highway 101 at the Highway 36 exit. Highway 101 is also known as Redwood Highway.
For unknown reasons, a yellow work truck and a silver Honda CRV collided in the northbound lane of Highway 101, the CHP report states.
Authorities said at least one person sustained minor injuries following the accident. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
No other details regarding the collision were given.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
