Alpine, CA: Child Injured in Scooter Crash on River Dance Court

Alpine, California (November 6, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Friday morning scooter accident that left a 3-year-old boy injured in Alpine.

The accident occurred at around 9:00 a.m. in a residential driveway on River Dance Court near South Grade Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the boy, who was not wearing a helmet, rode out of the driveway and struck the front passenger side of a 2010 Mazda 3 that was headed eastbound on the roadway.

3-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Alpine Scooter Accident on River Dance Court

The boy sustained minor to moderately serious trauma and was airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment.

The involved driver, a 54-year-old El Cajon man, was not expected to be cited in connection with the collision.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
