Brittnie Lahue ID’d as 33-Year-Old Woman Killed in Corning Traffic Accident on Interstate 5 near Liberal Avenue
Corning, California (November 4, 2020) – Brittnie Lahue, 33, of Redding, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a big rig accident on Monday morning in Corning, according to the Tehama County Coroner.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:00 a.m., on November 2, on Interstate 5 near Liberal Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser, driven by Lahue, was traveling northbound on the highway when it veered to the left and lost control.
Unfortunately, the Toyota crossed over the center divider and into the southbound lanes directly in the path of a big-rig, driven by Daniel Joosten, 50, of Erie.
The truck struck the left front of the Toyota, and both vehicles went off to the west side of the freeway, where the Toyota became engulfed in flames.

Sadly, Lahue succumbed to the smoke and flames.
Joosten was not injured in the accident.
First responders arrived at the scene and contained the fire that had caught the vegetation and was spreading to the big rig.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
