Los Angeles, California (November 4, 2020) – The man who died in a traffic collision Monday evening on Santa Monica Freeway in Los Angeles has been identified as Cristobal Martinez, 21. His city of residence was unknown.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:50 p.m. November 2, in the westbound lanes of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near the Arlington Avenue exit.

The events leading up to the collision were not immediately established.

The Los Angeles Police Department said one of the parties involved, Martinez, was killed in the accident.

The CHP closed all lanes of the freeway but were later reopened at 8:40 p.m.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
