Motorcycle accidents more often than not result in major injuries, and sometimes death. Most motorcycle accidents in California involve collision with other vehicles, typically automobiles. When an automobile collides with a motorcycle, chances are high that the motorcyclist will sustain injuries. Riders are, therefore, advised to always wear protective gear whenever they hit the road. Protective gear can greatly reduce the extent of injuries that a rider sustains in the event of an accident. On the other hand, being involved in a motorcycle collision while not wearing proper protective gear will not only increase the chances for sustaining major injuries, but may also adversely affect the amount of settlement you get if you filed a personal injury claim.
