Isaac Aguilera ID’d as Man Killed in Turlock Car Accident at South Walnut Road and West Harding Road

Turlock, California (August 12, 2020) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in an alleged DUI crash early Wednesday morning at an intersection south of Turlock as Isaac Aguilera, 20, of Modesto.
The deadly accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Walnut Road and West Harding Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2002 Ford, driven by Aguilera, was heading northbound on Walnut Road, coming towards Harding Road at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, the Ford veered to the east and hit the concrete bridge barrier wall over a Turlock Irrigation District canal.
As a result of the crash, the Ford flipped over and landed on its roof.
Moments later, a 2011 Hyundai Genesis, driven by Amy Cole, 45, of Hilmar, was traveling southbound on Walnut Road at a high rate of speed and crashed into the Ford. Both vehicles spun due to the impact, and the front of the Hyundai ripped the Ford in half.

Aguilera was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cole sustained moderate injuries following the crash. She was arrested and booked into jail for driving without a valid license, driving under the influence, causing bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
The accident remains under investigation.
