Santa Ana, California (August 7, 2020) – At least two people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a traffic collision on Thursday night in Santa Ana, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 10:45 p.m., on August 6, at South Euclid Street and West McFadden Avenue.

The officials said a stolen car pursued by the police crashed into a police cruiser after attempting to make a U-turn at the intersection.

A police officer in the cruiser and the suspect sustained minor to moderate injuries in the accident. They were both taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The authorities found a gun in the stolen car.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
