Two Men Killed, Three Hospitalized after Santa Rosa Car Accident on Lazzini Avenue at Stony Point Road
Santa Rosa, California (July 12, 2020) – Two people were killed and three others were injured early Sunday morning in a traffic accident at an intersection in Santa Rosa, according to a local news source.
The deadly collision, involving two vehicles, happened at around 12:12 a.m. at the intersection of Lazzini Avenue and Stony Point Road.
Authorities said a BMW was heading northbound on Stony Point at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, it collided with a Cadillac CTS at the intersection.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced two adult male occupants of the Cadillac CTS dead at the scene. Their names were withheld pending notification of family.
Three people in the BMW, a woman and two men, were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their condition at this time was not disclosed.
It remains unclear whether the Cadillac was turning left onto southbound Stony Point or was traveling straight across the Santa Rosa intersection. It is also unclear which car had a green light to enter the intersection.
Authorities closed Stony Point Road between Gardner Avenue and Campbell Drive following the collision. It is undetermined if alcohol or drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
